Jeffrey West Kirkwood is Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History and the Department of Cinema at Binghamton University, State University of New York. Colin Lang is the Editor in Chief of the German contemporary art magazine Texte zur Kunst. Main focuses of research: contemporary art and theory; sonic practices in the arts; media history and theory. He is currently at work on a manuscript that traces the development of electronic music as it emerged in, and out of, more traditional artistic contexts (galleries/museums, theater) beginning in the 1960s.
